About the book :

Marin had the perfect life. Married to her college sweetheart, she owns a chain of upscale hair salons, and Derek runs his own company. A loving family- until their world falls apart the day their son Sebastian is taken.

A year later, Marin is a shadow of herself. The FBI search has gone cold. The publicity has faded. She and her husband rarely speak. She hires a P.I. to pick up where the police left off, but instead of finding Sebastian, she learns that Derek is having an affair with a younger woman. This discovery sparks Marin back to life. She’s lost her son; she’s not about to lose her husband, too. Kenzie is an enemy with a face, which means this is a problem Marin can fix. Permanently.

My Review :

I devoured this book. NO! I inhaled this book.. What would you do if your son went missing while he was standing right next to you? What would you do if you found out your husband was having an affair??

This book was a twisty tale of grief, and revenge. Marin hasn’t been herself since her son went missing and is still missing 18 months later. Derek her husband has had no problem moving on and sleeping with Kenzie the other woman, who he whines and dines. But. how well does he actually know her.. The only person that Marin has to talk to, is her ex/best friend Sal, who is still madly in love with her, and also hates Marin’s husband.

All it takes is for one little secert to turn your whole world up-side down. Marin will do whatever it takes to get her son and her husband back. Marin has been drinking a lot since Sebastain went missing, she blames herself, if she wouldn’t have let go of his hand to text Derek back, he’d still be here. Since Derek is always gone working out of town, Marin doesn’t think he’s having an affair, until the P.I. shows her pictures. Marin then turns to Sal for comfort, he is the only friend that she really has, well one that she can talk to about stuff going on in her life.

This was one of the best book that I read in 2019. I gave this book 5/5 stars, I felt it deserved way more than that. If you haven’t added this to your tbr list, you need to do just that.
